My love affair with lipstick began the first time I saw my giagia Aneta apply her classic signature red lipstick, while my mother wore Revlon’s Hot Cocoa in the early 1980′s. While I was much more attracted to the red lips, mom’s coco lips fell right into place with her deep brown eyes, dark brown hair & olive skin.
The first lipstick I remember owning was by Prescriptives. And it was a pretty coppery orange, because I was wearing an eggplant tafeta dress to my junior highschool prom. It actually looked hot with my dark hair and light skin, and since aunt Maria was doing my makeup for me with electric blue mascara and all… I was very 1989 and it felt great!
