I had the privilege of being invited to be a speaker at Project Curves on Saturday April 26, 2008. Project Curves was brought to Chicago by founder of X’change models Myisha Hill.
As some of you may know, Project Curves is the traveling and “workshop” version of The Plus Academy in NY. As a former student of the Plus Academy I benefited greatly from the various classes I attended. Information and having one on one time with industry professionals was essential to my growth in the modeling industry and to my current position as editor of PLUS Model Magazine.
As I looked at the beautiful women that attended the workshop, they were eager and ready to take in all of the information that we were there to give them.

She serves as Creative Director for PLUS Model and Daily Venus Diva Magazines, both respectively voted the #1 Plus Size Fashion and Lifestyle Magazines in 2011 by the prestigious Full Figure Fashion Week New York. Valery is also the recipient of the 2011 Fuller Woman Expo's Mia Amber Davis Award of Excellence. She resides in the beautiful Northwest with her loving husband.
