PLUS Model Radio Celebrates 2 Years, Launches New Website, and Welcomes New Contributors!
Los Angeles, CA – February 18, 2010 – PLUS Model Radio with host Chenese Lewis, the #1 podcast for plus size women, which premiered March 17, 2008 is celebrating its two year anniversary! In two years the show has had amazing guests, tons of valuable information, a consistently growing fan base, and has the entire plus industry tuning in faithfully. In celebration of PLUS Model Radio’s anniversary a new website for the internet radio show will be launched March 1st, 2010, as well as a theme song contest, and exciting new additions to the show.
The newly designed website for PLUS Model Radio goes live Monday, March 1st, 2010. PLUS Model Radio aims to extend the reach of the show by serving a broad audience of listeners interested in entertainment, modeling, fashion, size acceptance, and philanthropy. The new website features expanded content and streaming media including over 50 episodes related to the plus industry in the permanent archives. The website will give the audience a place to not only listen to the show, but also have valuable show information and resources at their finger tips. PLUS Model Radio will also introduce new contributors to the show that will keep the listeners informed with the latest news in the plus industry. The new contributors include: Madeline Figueroa-Jones, editor of PLUS Model Magazine and co creator of the PLUS Size Industry Professionals website. Sage Salzer, plus supermodel who has been featured in print campaigns for Curvation, Fruit of the Loom, Lane Bryant and in-store posters can be seen regularly at Catherine’s, Fashion Bug, Kohl’s, Target, and Walmart. Erica Watson, actress, stand-up comedian, and film/television director who in 2009 appeared in the Lee Daniels film “Precious,” and is currently touring around the country with her one woman show “Fat Bitch” and Aimee Cheshire, former plus size model turned blogger and creator of MadisonPlus.com, the premier fashion site for the modern plus size woman.
In celebration of the two year anniversary PLUS Model Radio will also hold a theme song contest encouraging artists to write an original theme song for the show which is a great opportunity to for an up and coming artist to gain exposure within the plus community. The prize package includes in addition to your music being heard weekly on PLUS Model Radio by thousands of listeners, an interview on the radio show, a feature in PLUS Model Magazine, and a one year subscription to the PLUS Size Industry Professional website.
