Imagine my surprise when I received an email with the subject line “Vogue Curvy”.
Vogue Curvy celebrates the plus size modeling industry and fashions. With models like Crystal Renn and Lizzie Miller making headlines around the world we have seen the pressure that all the magazine’s and designer’s are under to create a place for “us”. Still there are those that are completely against it but with Vogue on our side we are well on our way.
Vogue Curvy includes models, clothing, boutiques, entertainers and much more. Please visit their blog and let them know how pleased and happy we are to finally be in Vogue. Could plus size models featured in editorials be far behind?
Let your voice be heard… is this a step in the right direction? let PLUS Model Magazine know and we will be posting in our March issue of PLUS.

Curvy hugs to all,

Plus-model-mag,
It’s truly been one heck of a journey for plus-size girls/women and it will continue thanks to you. I remember being a preteen and yearning to see someone who looked like me in the mag. The torture of shopping for trendy clothes and having my mother shout out my size in the store made me cringe. In spite of the negativity I’d hear and see, I thought I was beautiful. I managed to put together some pretty nice outfits (even the thinner girls would ask me wear I got my clothes from). I wanted to do my own mag and had a supportive friend. But, I didn’t think anyone would be interested. Seeing the shift in fashion for plus-size girls/women has been like a dream come true for me. Now, I can’t wait to hit the malls and go shopping. Now, Vogue’s support is like icing in the cake.
You’re on in a million.
Andrea
